Expert Services for Your Property

INSURANCE APPRAISALS

Standard insurance plans may not cover the full value of your possessions when damage or loss occur. An insurance appraisal will provide a replacement value for you to provide to an insurer to establish adequate coverage.

ESTATE TAX APPRAISALS

When an individual passes  away the executors of their estate have six months from the date of expiration to determine the value of the possessions to be transferred. If the property's value exceeds the IRS' annual threshold, then a Form 706 must be submitted. An estate tax appraisal will provide a fair market value to be used by the recipient for determining their tax liability.

GIFT TAX APPRAISALS

When a gift is transferred and its value exceeds the IRS' annual threshold a Form 709 must be submitted. An appraisal for gift tax purposes will provide a fair market value to be used by the recipient for determining their tax liability.

SALE Appraisals

Marketable cash value or liquidation value can be estimated to reflect a potential value to be realized less expenses and upon the sale of a property. The appraiser will determine the appropriate valuation method based on the intended sales strategy of the property owner.

Loan Collateral Appraisals

A high net worth individual that has an art collection can use the value of their collection as collateral for a loan. The appraiser can work with the client and lender to provide valuations to support the loan amount.

COLLECTION CATALOGING

Personal property appraisers photograph possessions, record essential data, and associate documents as a part of their duties. This can also be done separate from an appraisal  to create a living archive that can be leveraged for various appraisal, insurance, and legal purposes.
