Jason has been a lifelong collector and creator of art. He obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from The University of Arizona in 2011 which gave him access to experiences with world renowned professionals at the Center for Creative Photography. Continuing to pursue his passions he later earned a Master of Administration in Public Management from Northern Arizona University in 2017. His capstone focused on the study of how art can be used to influence social movements. Jason has continued to be involved in the arts through participation in exhibitions and service as a juror for the Tempe Festival of The Arts.
Day-to-day Jason is a product and project management consultant for financial institutions. Seeing an opportunity to blend his analytical and management skills with his passion for art, Jason decided to participate in the Appraisal Association of America's Comprehensive Appraisal Studies Program (CASP) to become a qualified appraiser.
Shortly following the completion of CASP, Jason Sims established Sims Appraisal in April 2025 to provide appraisals complaint with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
